FY11 Senior And Master Chief Selection Board Info

Brothers and Sisters,

Just in case you hadn't seen it, the message announcing the POA&M for the 2010 active duty and reserve SCPO/MCPO selection boards was released back on 14 September 2009. Here's the basic info:

-Boards will convene March/April 2010.
-The requirement to complete the Leading Chief Petty Officer Leadership Course (LPOLC) in order to be Select Board Eligible has been removed. (See NAVADMIN 272/08 for more info).
-Correspondence to the selection board must be post marked NLT 29 January 2010.
-Requirements for correspondence are:

• Review BUPERSINST 1430.16F, Ch. 12, and MILPERSMAN 1070-080 concerning selection board record review and selection board package submissions.
• Third Party correspondence will NOT be premitted.
• Must be on plain white paper, paper clipped (no staples, binders, folders, or tabs), and submitted under cover letter to the President of The Board.
• Ensure that the correct subject line and board number are on the cover letters to ensure the packages appear before proper board.
• Full name and full SSN must be affixed and legible on all documents submitted.
• Submit packages to the following addresses as it pertains to your situation:
